Dr Goltra treated me 4 years ago on my cervical spine where I had two large disc herniations. I was able to avoid surgery and his skilled epidural injections have given me a significant improvement in the past several years. Yesterday I saw him again for two lumbar disc herniations and a large cyst that was pressing on my S1 nerve root. The pain had gotten to the point where it was severe and constant, and I feared that I may develop leg weakness beyond just the numbness and pens and needles. Dr Goltra performed two epidural injections as well as draining the cyst that was pressing on my nerve root. I got immediate relief. He is extremely skilled and competent and will not recommend anything that he would not recommend to his own loved ones. Years ago I was scheduled for surgery and I saw him again and we discussed trying another epidural injection prior to surgery. He told me something that I’ve never forgotten that “you can never undo surgery”- I see too many patients that have spinal fusions only to be in pain again within a few years.
